Happy Mid-term Election Day
I sent my absentee ballot in a few weeks ago, have been watching the polls daily, and catch what news I can about the election. There is a bit of coverage here, but nothing like the US media–which is both good and bad, but mainly good. I can access most of the news and analysis that I want over the net and don’t have to dodge the lame campaign ads and looping sound bites. Nothing but serious research here… And now I’m off to watch that HBO “Hacking Democracy” video that everyone is hyped up about. 🙂

Ann voted here in PA for the first time. She seemed to like how easy the process was. The new electronic voting machines were a little disappointing. Not any better than the mechanical lever ones we used before IMHO. So far pretty good results in the election though.
Good for Ann. I am still unable to vote yet but curiously waiting for the election results. It is only 5:09pm in NZ so Jim and I will be watching and waiting for the final results. Hopefully the results shall be favorable to us :-).
Looks like a Democratic win so far. Even Rumsfeld resigned. We’ll have to see if things are actually gonna change.
